The County Government of Kajiado, through the Department of Lands, Physical Planning, Housing, Urban Development, and Municipalities, has issued a formal notice for the mandatory regularization of all outdoor advertising and fibre optic infrastructure.

Why is this happening?

To restore order and ensure a conducive business environment, the County is addressing developments that have been undertaken without proper permission. This includes installations that may:

• Pose a danger to the general public, motorists, and pedestrians.

• Obstruct vehicular or pedestrian traffic.

• Have a negative impact on the environmental quality of Kitengela and surrounding towns.

Who needs to apply?

All individuals and developers responsible for the following must submit or resubmit their applications for vetting and approval:

• Outdoor Advertisements: Billboards, gantries, wall wraps, and LED displays.

• Fibre Optic Installations: Both underground and overhead cables.

Important Deadline & Enforcement

Please be advised that you have 30 days from the date of this notice (January 9, 2026) to comply.

TAKE NOTICE: Upon the expiry of this 30-day window, the County Government of Kajiado shall remove all unauthorized developments without further reference to you. All costs associated with the removal will be charged to the owner.
